Angelo's Traditional Patisserie

You MUST get some of the ice cream here that is out on the cooler on the street. It appears to be homemade by the owner, who speaks absolutely zero English but we were able to order by pointing to what we wanted and that was simple enough. We got the peach and baklava ice cream - the baklava ice cream wasn't overly sweet and tasted just like the dessert. The peach ice cream was unreal and tasted like fresh peach, not the artificial flavor that is good in its own right. It even had little tiny chunks of peach mixed throughout. Unfortunately we did not get to try any of the desserts inside the bakery.

Everything is made on the premises by the owner including the ice cream. If you are after traditional Greek desserts made in the traditional way using traditional ingredients then this is the best place to go. The owner and his family are lovely. Highly recommend you go here to try some traditional sweets if you are in Kefalonia. The owner doesn't speak English but it's not hard to point and be a little adventurous. You can always use a translation app if needed.

Για τους λάτρεις του γλυκού, που θα βρεθούν στην Κεφαλονιά, τα γλυκά του Άγγελου είναι μια εμπειρία που δεν πρέπει να χάσουν.
